INVERTED CULTURE

WARNING: LONG POST!!!

Konbawa~ how’s the day? Hope you alright :D

Yesterday when im ironing my clothes(there was only me in my house) and put them in the wardrobe inside my room, i saw a snake under my bed. Im not scared.. it was just a little s

nake dancing under my bed (read:walking) she tried to reach the window... she wanted to get out. Ok.. im a lil bit scared now, then i phoned my mother.. she was lil bit scared too, she called my cousin to catch the snake... he was not come. Then my uncle came but she(the snake) was not found... my uncle go home. Till i go to bed, the snake was not found.

How i could say those words...? i mean, to translate them in english.. sure, i learned english first :)

Then, how i can iron the clothes...? the netherlander imported technology t

o make iron to indonesia-indonesian made irons and sell them-my mother buy and I use it

How i can phone my mother? The Findlands made it and imported it to indonesia... well, the casing is from china

How my uncle come to my house? Spare parts are imported from Japan. Indonesian assemble them to a good motorcycle-my uncle bought it-he rode his motorcycle to my house...

Things came much much complex than what i tought before.

All human being needs each other. In the past, people in a region of a country complete their needs by asking help to the other region by mail. They could ask some help to the other country by courier but it takes a very long time( i could say that cause now i can ask for help in a minute by phone). It could take time for months even years eventough they used the fastest transportation in that time.

How about a country/kingdom in the 10th century will have a war in the next day while they have not ask for some help yet. The enemy was so strong and the fastest horse only can reach the other kingdom in two days...? don’t stare me..-_- what a silly question, never mind. But you got what im thinking about right..? ok, then :)

People always want their life to be faster and faster,... no matter what they are, v

ehicles, office equipment, communication, graphic, music, and many more. So, people always do inovation something that make your life easier. At the 9th century people used to sail with sailing ship.. at the 20th century people used steamship.

This phenomenon just like waterfall, so fast till people almost never realize it. People can go overseas by plane with a short time, i can cut a paper with 9 metres long in a short time. I can phone my friend in netherland doing a morning aerobic while im in indonesia enjoying an

afterschool teatime. When a floral pattern being a tren in paris, indonesian can enjoy it next year (ok... its a critic)

Enough..... -_-

It’s an advantage for human being cause we will be more productive! Our country will be more rich cause people abroad know us and want to come here to visit indonesia. They know we have such a beautiful places and unique tribes with those goods and don’t forget, foods.

We also have great tarditional medicines that help world to cure deseases and healtie

r world. We have the best entertainment ever that another countries doesn’t have. Dances and ceremonies each regions are different, those are explain our specialty. Yeah, we have to thank to god.

People from abroad is vigorous and have a big curiosity of indonesian culture. They alacrity to walk trough the jungle just to see Irian tribes or walk in mud to plough fields. Make pottery from clays, cook gudeg, eat pecel, and learn indonesian.

The people from abroad (from now on, i’ll cal them bules=bule-bule) even now want to be an indonesian. They tried to learn indonesian culture like tari pendet or javanese. They learn very hard for our culture and want to be more ‘like us’, wearing t-shirt, ride motorcycle, use sandals and batik, and of course speak like us. Well, i havent ask them why they do that (

i think because they love it) but how about us. Do we love our culture? Do you love our culture? Do you love batik? Do you love srondeng? Do you love pecel? Do you love gudeg? Do you love kue satu? Do you love enting-enting? Do you love emping?do you love all of them? Do you know all of them?

Honestly i dont love all of them cause some of them is too sweet. But i know those foods!

How bout you? Know them? Aah you dont? What do you know? Pizza? Fettucine? Spaghetti? Sushi?

What dance do you like? Ooh you like salsa?

What music instrument do you like? Piano? Cello? Why dont you like angklung? Gamelan?

What a shame! Where are you all come from?! Italia? Japan? Brazil? America? Or maybe you’re an alien that visit our milky way (Ok i think some of you know our traditional foods and music

instruments, for those who knows i dont mean it...;) i don’t want to blame you out cause you know and like another culture. But, what i want to emphasize that we need to love our culture. Even you dont love our culture at least YOU KNOW AND PROUD!!!

Let us think... how about our culture taken over by bules (bule-bule) and bules’ culture are taken over by us?

Don’t you feel something lost from our life? How about our moral values that rooted in o

ur beloved culture in our beloved country. Everything wont be the same anymore, everything will change slowly to bules’ culture. Meanwhile, not all from bules’ culture is good for indonesian. Like free sex or clubbing it’s totally NOT from our culture.

Then we live like bules and bules live like us. LOL

Maybe you’ll say, “bules’ culture is not too bad!” i agree with that. I like bules’ culture like eat with chopsticks and eat pizza. But remember, we need to protect and preserve our culture cause its our identity. Without culture, we’re nothing

That’s all from me today. I think i have to go to the restroom soon, something have to be taken out LOL!!... see you at the next post with me or Dilla!! :) :D :)
